As a Compliance Engineer, you’ll partner with senior compliance and product development engineers to help ensure our instruments meet global safety, EMC/EMI, wireless, battery, laser/LED, and product compliance requirements while building deeper expertise in product compliance. This position is part of the Product Development Engineering team, located in Loveland, CO, and will be fully onsite. This role is ideal for someone with an engineering or technical background who is motivated to grow in compliance, enjoys hands-on testing, and is comfortable working in a documentation-driven environment. Support safety, EMC/EMI, wireless, battery, laser/LED, and international product compliance activities for new and existing products Execute and analyze hands-on pre-compliance and certification testing, including documenting results and communicating findings Create, maintain, and organize technical files, declarations, test protocols, reports, and other compliance documentation Collaborate with product development teams to review product designs, understand technical changes, and assess potential compliance, safety, or product complicante risks Works with external laboratories and certification agencies Participate in risk assessments and help identify practical mitigation strategies with guidance from senior compliance engineers Why This Opportunity? Direct influence on product design decisions Exposure to global productc compliance and certification programs Hands-on testing and laboratory work Collaborative environment with engineering, quality, and business teams Opportunity to grow into a highly specialized product compliance field with mentorship from experienced engineers What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or physical science; electrical or mechanical engineering background preferred Typically 3–5 years of experience in engineering, compliance, product testing, quality, or another regulated technical environment Experience with hands-on testing, test protocols, technical documentation, or working in a tightly documented environment Strong technical writing, communication, and documentation skills Ability to talk through product design considerations, assess risk, and understand how design decisions may affect safety, compliance, or product compliance requirements Curiosity and motivation to build a career in product compliance, including willingness to learn safety and/or EMC compliance disciplines Preferred Qualifications Exposure to safety compliance, EMC/EMI compliance, product certification, or regulated product development Familiarity with standards such as IEC 61010, IEC 61326-1, EMC/EMI, safety, wireless, battery, laser/LED, or related product compliance requirements Experience working with external laboratories, certification agencies, or product compliance bodies Product development experience Knowledge of electronics, circuits, test equipment, instrumentation products, or mechanical/electrical product design Hach is proud to part of the Water Quality segment of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods. The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $75000 - $95000 USD per year. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
