About The Role As a Westinghouse Nuclear Instrumentation and Control Engineer, you will be part of a high performing team assisting on a variety of projects to help new or existing nuclear power plants implement world class nuclear instrumentation signal processing and control systems. You will work with experienced colleagues to develop new designs and help upgrade and refresh existing designs to the state-of-the-art in a growing field with countless opportunities for deep technical growth. You will work a hybrid schedule reporting 2 days per week at the Westinghouse New Stanton, PA location. You will report to the Engineering Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Support engineering team for the creation of drawings and design/technical specifications for Nuclear Instrumentation Systems. Compile technical documents / specifications for procurement/manufacturing. Support resolution of technical issues including obsolescence. Support supplier and manufacturing operations with technical issue resolution. Support development of system and hardware design specifications for Instrumentation and Control systems for both new and existing plants. Support creation of hardware design documentation such as cabinet layout drawings, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics. Support Test document creation and test execution. Develop test procedures from System Design and Software Requirement documents. Support root cause investigation of defects and coordinate defect tracking efforts. Provide support to customers for installation and emergent technical issues. Apply work within a team and coordinate external support to successfully complete project scope. Effectively communicate (written and verbal) analyses basis, summary of results, proposed solutions, and implementation instructions to customers and team members. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,000 to $73,000 per year. Why Westinghouse?
