Final Filing Date: 9/25/2026 Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Work Location: In Office Telework: In Office Role Overview The Department of State Hospitals – Coalinga is now accepting applications for multiple Permanent Full Time Registered Nurse (Safety) positions. Incumbents are responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care, treatment, and rehabilitation to patients; providing direction to other personnel who assist them in providing such care: assisting physicians as directed; providing general psychiatric nursing care to patients and participate in the milieu treatment structure of patients. Provide intervention within RN scope and standards of practice and per facility policies & procedures. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Supervising Registered Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) will assist the EHR Program Department in managing logistics for EHR system updates, and facility training needs. Working collaboratively with the local training department, EHR Training Team, Clinical Technology Training Director, and TSD, the RN will conduct EHR training updates, develop and provide training resources, and create and maintain training schedules. The RN will collaborate with clinical supervisors and program management to ensure training is scheduled and completed for all EHR initiatives. During implementation the RN will assist with training super users and trainers and will lead local change management initiatives to ensure that staff are supported throughout implementation and ongoing EHR updates. Post‑implementation the RN will assist with Annual Review Training (ART), New Employee Orientation (NEO), and additional training needs as identified. Positions may function collaboratively or be assigned primary focus areas based on departmental needs. The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital. All employees are required to have an annual health review and TB test or whenever necessary to ascertain that they are free from symptoms indicating the presence of infection and are able to safely perform their essential job functions.
