Job Description\n BHS Workforce is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/22/2026\n Duration: 16 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Requirements:\n \n Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable)\n BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy\n BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required\n TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred\n CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred\n 1+ years of ER experience required\n Experience with triage protocols and high-acuity, fast-paced environments\n \n Duties:\n \n Triage and assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care\n Provide rapid, comprehensive nursing care to patients across a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions\n Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols\n Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid deterioration with appropriate emergency interventions\n Monitor and manage patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge\n Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care\n Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, follow-up care, and treatment plans\n Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response in the EMR\n Maintain patient flow and throughput in a fast-paced, high-volume environment\n Ensure infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols are followed\n \n \n BHS Workforce Job ID #37781263.
