What You'll Do

• Provide bedside nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions including MI, CHF, arrhythmias, and PVD
• Manage medication drips and report patient responses to treatment
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess clinical status regularly
• Administer medications following protocols and document interventions
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on condition management and post-discharge care
• Meet all nursing standards, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

What You Need

• Valid RN license in the state of Louisiana or a compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Minimum 1 year of experience in telemetry or cardiac nursing preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment

About the Assignment

This role is within a busy unit specializing in cardiac and telemetry patient care. The facility manages complex cardiac drips, including arrhythmias and myocardial infarction cases, providing an excellent environment for experienced cardiac nurses. The position offers a temporary-to-permanent pathway, with the possibility of extending based on performance.
