The Critical Care RN provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients within the ICU, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical standards during night shifts. They coordinate with medical staff and patient families to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' clinical conditions continuously and accurately to identify immediate needs.
- Develop and update individualized care plans based on patient assessments and needs.
- Administer medications, including titration of drips, and interpret strip results to monitor patient status.
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
- Guide and educate patients and families about treatment plans and recovery processes.
- Supervise and support nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with ICU standards of care.
- Hold a current and valid state RN license.
- Possess BLS and ACLS certification.
- Have at least one year of acute care or critical care nursing experience.
- Prefer candidates with CCRN certification.
- Be vaccinated for COVID-19, including boosters, as per facility requirements.
