What You'll Do The Part-Time Nursing Tutor provides academic support to students enrolled in nursing programs by offering individualized and small-group tutoring sessions. This role supports student success by helping learners strengthen clinical reasoning, nursing concepts, test-taking strategies, and mastery of course content. The tutor collaborates with faculty and staff to identify student learning needs and reinforce program outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide one-on-one and group tutoring for nursing students in areas such as:
• Fundamentals of Nursing
• Medical-Surgical Nursing
• Pharmacology
• Pathophysiology
• Maternal–Newborn and Pediatric Nursing
• Help students master NCLEX-style questions and clinical reasoning
• Support learners in building confidence, improving study skills, and succeeding in a fast-paced program
• Collaborate with faculty to reinforce key nursing concepts and program outcomes

Work Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time, up to 25 hours per week (as needed).
• Flexible schedule including some afternoons or evenings based on student demand.
• Compensation commensurate with experience.

Who We're Looking For We're seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success.

• Current RN license in good standing OR student with exceptional grades in the nursing courses.
• Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior tutoring, teaching, or clinical precepting experience.
• Experience with NCLEX preparation strategies and question formats.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and digital educational tools.
• Demonstrated academic strength in key nursing content areas.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coach and motivate students with varied learning styles.
