Your Role in This Journey

• Carry out thorough patient evaluations, prescribe necessary imaging and lab tests, and develop personalized care approaches
• Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic health issues independently or in collaboration with physicians (based on your credentials)
• Educate patients and their families about wellness, preventive care, and chronic disease management
• Prescribe medications and treatments within your authorized scope of practice
• Engage in follow-up care and chronic condition management processes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless and comprehensive patient care
• Ensure detailed and accurate documentation using electronic medical records (EMR)

What You Need to Succeed

• MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) or DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) degree
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Mandatory Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Utah
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to secure these within 90 days)
