Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift teaching hospital assignment requiring WI or compact license and 2 years of ICU experience. Baraboo, Wisconsin Details ICU unit with 6 beds and average daily census of 4 Patient ratio of 1:2-3 Every third weekend required No on-call requirements May float to Med Surg within scope as needed Epic charting system used Treats patients with CHF, COPD, stroke, DKA, AKI, SBO, detox, sepsis, and respiratory failure Performs rapid sequence intubation Uses Spacelabs monitors, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high flow oxygen equipment Requirements Active WI or compact RN license in hand required, pending license not accepted Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Prior travel experience required Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB Epic charting experience required Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration Experienced in ventilator care, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning Skilled in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation monitoring Experienced in CVA/acute stroke management and IV insulin protocols Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care Additional Information Teaching hospital setting with 43 staffed beds Navy blue scrub color required First-time travelers considered depending on prior ICU experience Local candidates within 70 miles not accepted Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
