Our mission at Friendship Village of Dublin is "To care for, engage, and inspire our community to reimagine and maximize quality of life at every age".At Friendship Village our values drive us to RISE to any occasion:RespectIntegrity and InnovationStewardshipExcellenceWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician to contribute to our mission!Essential duties and responsibilities:Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the community, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building systems.Troubleshoot and repair leaking or damaged plumbing fixtures to prevent water damage and restore proper operation.Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues, including outlets, switches, lighting, and wiring as permitted.Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.Complete resident service requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.Perform preventative maintenance to help extend the life of building systems and equipment.Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in an organized and safe way.Participate in routine building inspections and assist with life safety and regulatory compliance activities.Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, preventative maintenance logs, time records, and other required documentation.Assist with emergency repairs, and after-hours maintenance needs as assigned.Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations while maintaining a safe working environment.Qualifications:Education & Experience:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.One to two years of building maintenance or facilities maintenance experience preferred.Experience in residential, healthcare, senior living, apartment, hotel, or commercial maintenance is a plus.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Knowledge & Skills:Working knowledge of:PlumbingElectrical systemsHVAC systemsGeneral carpentryPainting and drywall repairAbility to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs.Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.Basic computer skills for completing work orders and documentation.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical Requirements:Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Be available for emergency call-ins, rotating on-call responsibilities, or after-hours work when required.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
