East Regional Warehouse Manager

Position Summary

The East Coast Distribution Centers Manager provides multi-site leadership for warehouse and distribution operations across Savannah, Georgia, and Dayton, New Jersey. This leader is accountable for safe, food-safe, accurate, service-driven, and cost-effective operations across four facilities and leads the site management structure supporting approximately 45 employees. The role translates business priorities into consistent operating standards, develops leaders, improves productivity, strengthens inventory controls, and partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable customer service.

Key Accountabilities

Customer Service and Operational Execution

• Deliver On Time In Full (OTIF) performance, order accuracy, product quality, and responsive customer service across all assigned facilities.

• Establish consistent operating routines, labor plans, and escalation processes that support daily execution and business continuity.

• Monitor site performance, identify root causes of service failures, and implement corrective actions with clear ownership and follow-through.

Safety, Food Safety, and Compliance

• Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, training, standard work, continuous improvement, and accountability.

• Ensure high standards of food safety, warehouse sanitation, pest control, building condition, and product handling in partnership with Quality.

• Maintain compliant inventory and warehouse-control processes, including requirements associated with SAG/SOX controls and internal audits.

• Ensure facilities follow company policies, applicable regulatory requirements, and documented operating procedures.

Inventory, Cost, and Continuous Improvement

• Improve inventory accuracy through disciplined receiving, storage, cycle-counting, reconciliation, and shipping practices.

• Develop and execute productivity initiatives that improve throughput, reduce waste, control labor and operating costs, and strengthen service.

• Use operating data and key performance indicators to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and sustain improvements.

• Lead the effective use of warehouse technology and support the introduction, adoption, and stabilization of new systems and tools.

People Leadership and Culture

• Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and front-line employees; clarify expectations and hold leaders accountable for results.

• Build an engaged, high-performing warehouse culture focused on retention, inclusion, recognition, capability building, and ownership.

• Ensure employees and leaders receive effective onboarding, job training, refresher training, and development support.

• Address performance and conduct matters through timely coaching, counseling, recognition, and discipline in accordance with company policies and in partnership with Human Resources.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Imports, Customer Service, Finance, Information Technology, and Human Resources to resolve issues and improve end-to-end performance.

• Communicate operating risks, resource needs, performance gaps, and improvement plans clearly to the Director of Distribution and relevant stakeholders.

• Share best practices across locations and align East Coast operations with broader LTFA distribution standards and priorities.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive warehouse or distribution operations experience.

• Demonstrated success leading managers and multi-level teams and delivering measurable operational results.

• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a track record of using technology to improve operations.

• Strong knowledge of inventory controls, warehouse processes, employee safety, and food-safety expectations.

• Effective leadership, communication, problem-solving, change-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all organizational levels.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to travel approximately 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Experience leading operations across multiple warehouse or distribution-center locations.

• Experience with imported containers, port-related flows, or international supply-chain operations.

• Experience in food, consumer packaged goods, or another regulated distribution environment.
