Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join a community-focused critical access hospital laboratory team. Schedule

• Monday – Thursday
• 10-hour day shifts (10:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• Occasional weekend rotation
• Rotating holiday schedule
• Occasional on-call responsibilities (must be able to report within 30 minutes)

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests and procedures
• Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Perform blood bank testing and related procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory results
• Maintain quality control and compliance with laboratory standards
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical record system for documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field
• ASCP Certification as MLT or MLS (required)
• Current AHA BLS Certification (required at submission)
• Phlebotomy experience (required)
• Blood Bank experience (required)
• 5+ years of laboratory experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Compensation

MLT

• $25.92 – $37.73 per hour

MLS

• $30.04 – $44.52 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, education, and qualifications.
