Collins Aerospace is seeking an Onsite – Marlborough, MA, Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety (RMS) Engineer What You will do: As a Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety (RMS) Engineer, you will work across disciplines at all stages in a product’s lifecycle to guarantee a safe and reliable system from development to disposal. With acute eye and attention to detail ensure requirements compliance and the safety and reliability of personnel, equipment, and environment. Supportsprogram lifecyclethrough the application of reliability, maintainability, and safety techniques Participatesinallphasesofprogram life cycle,utilizingreliability and maintainability methodologies as they apply in our systems engineeringprocessesinaccordance withmilitary standardssuch as MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-HDBK-338B, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-1629A Provides input to the development ofFailure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions, Reliability Critical Items List, and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) Perform hazard analysis on complex systems per MIL-STD-882E Track, propose, and mitigate system hazards at various stages of a program Conduct reviews of safety and human factors concerns both internally and externally Facilitate safe and useable systems through participating in design reviews Participate in specification and Statement of Work (SOW) reviews to identify system safety and human factors requirements Review, monitor, and track hazardous materials (e.g. NAS-411) used throughout systems and any mitigations that may be necessary Support compliance audits that demonstrate how internal processes and procedures are used on programs Qualifications You Must Have: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace Engineering, related Science, or (STEM) major. Experience in Microsoft Office software suite The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.government issued security clearance is required.
