Surgical Technologist

This role performs prescribed surgical technologist procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a Surgical Technologist. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures, up to the level of documented competency, that require independent judgement and initiative.

Demonstrates competency in clinical skills (i.e. aseptic technique, sharps safety, instrument management, and specimen management). Communicates pertinent patient data accurately and utilizes time management skills to organize and prioritize patient care activities. Assumes responsibility for own professional development. Other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum: Must be enrolled in a Certified Surgical Technologist Program. Presently enrolled, and in good standing, in a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technologist program.
