Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Job Description & Requirements

Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed.

Surgical Technologist

Job Summary
Under immediate to general supervision, provides technical assistance in the capacity of a surgical (scrub) technician in an operating room, labor and delivery, or other facility performing surgical procedures.

Required Qualifications

 

• Graduation from an accredited school/program for Surgical Technicians.
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Knowledge of basic human anatomy and basic first-aid methods and practices.
• Skill in maintaining an effective working relationship with others.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Understanding of growth and development principles over the life span.

Additional Information

 

• Assists in preparing the operating room using Physician’s preference cards.
• Prepares sterile fields and performs surgical scrubs.
• Assists in draping patients and ensures correct identification of operative specimens.
• Operates and ensures functionality of special equipment.
• Participates in sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments and operating room areas.
• May assist in training surgical technicians.
