Workforce Training Coordinator

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated, dedicated, and highly organized individual to assist the VC of Workforce in coordinating workforce training, maintaining records, and strengthening partnerships. The main job functions include but are not limited to, program development and coordination, client relations, and accurate record keeping.

The expectation is that the successful candidate works professionally, productively, and effectively in a fast-paced environment and department while doing quality work. Candidates with coordination, relationship-building skills, and data entry experience are preferred but willing to train the right person.

The incumbent must be detail-oriented, have effective oral communication, strong interpersonal skills, and be capable of maintaining working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.

Examples of Duties

Responsibilities include assisting the VC of Workforce in planning, developing, and implementing workforce programs and monitoring and evaluating program progress. Establishing and maintaining workforce records and files and presenting information accurately and clearly. Providing exceptional customer service while serving as a point of contact for workforce inquiries. Successfully interacting with local and regional employers to identify workforce development needs. Creating and developing spreadsheets to track workforce data, courses, revenue, and information. Organizing and categorizing existing workforce data into spreadsheets. Continuously improving the process of collecting workforce information. Assisting in promoting and distributing information on workforce classes and training. Other Workforce projects as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. An associate degree or higher is preferred. Able to meet timelines and due dates, and complete assigned duties. Willing to work collaboratively across multiple departments for institutional success. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and overseeing multiple projects. Exceptional communication and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
