Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda, will support plasma center operations. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and manage adverse events; follow SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinate with Center Physician for standing orders and transport to emergency care. Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and guidance concerning medical or technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility. Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health; refer to EHS guidance for incident handling. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or an equivalent graduate credential from a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Current state license or certification in EMT‑Paramedic. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Benefits U.S. hourly wage range: $25.60 – $35.20. Hourly wage reflects qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. The actual wage offered will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements.
