Registered Nurse (RN) - Psych

Registered Nurse – Pediatric Psychiatry

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with weekend and holiday requirements as well as on-call as needed.

Assignment Details: Position focused on providing care for children and adolescents aged 5-18 experiencing acute mental health crises.

Requirements:

• NYS RN License
• 2 years of pediatric mental health experience
• BLS (AHA only)
• CPI blue card (preferred)
• Experience in a large, academic medical center (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and effective therapeutic care to pediatric patients in a mental health setting.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Engage patients in group therapies including Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills groups.
• Implement psychopharmacological interventions as required.
• Facilitate patient stabilization during acute crises.
