Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech)
Job Details
- Shift: Day, 4×10 hours (7:30 AM–6:00 PM)
- Contract: 91 weeks listed — confirm actual duration
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- EMR: Epic required
- Call: Required, 30-minute response time
- Weekend Rotation: 3×12-hour shifts Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday; rotating primary/secondary call
- Floating: Not specified
- Local Rule: Must live more than 65 miles from the facility
- Travel Experience: Required by the job description
- RTO: Must be listed on the profile and discussed during the interview
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of IR experience
- Scrub experience required
- Travel experience required
- Neuro IR experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Must be able to obtain the required Louisiana allied health license; apply within 72 hours of signing if booked with a pending license
- Must be comfortable with call and rotating weekend coverage
Required Certifications
- ARRT(R)
- BLS (AHA)
- ARRT(VI) listed as required in the qualifications; confirm whether mandatory for this specific role
- ACLS is listed as preferred
Clinical Skills
- Diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
- Neuro and vascular procedures
- Angiography, angioplasty, carotid stenting, embolization
- Thrombectomy/thrombolysis, TIPS, IVC filters
- PICC/central lines, drains, biopsies, nephrostomy
- Scrubbing, maintaining a sterile field, and equipment setup
- Epic, PACS, Siemens and GE fluoroscopy equipment
