Registered Nurse - PCU

Telemetry NurseKey ResponsibilitiesPatient Monitoring: Manage and monitor telemetry and critically ill patients with acute conditions, including heart failure, myocardial infarctions, acute strokes, and post-ablation or catheterization recovery.Clinical Interventions: Administer cardiac medications, manage vasoactive drips, and assist with newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators.Assessments: Conduct frequent, in-depth physical and neurological assessments.Team Collaboration: Partner with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and discharge planners, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Leadership: Coordinate unit workflow, delegate tasks effectively to Patient Care Techs (PCTs), and act as a clinical resource for staff development.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN is highly preferred.License: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license.Experience: Minimum of 18 months of acute care RN experience (Experience in telemetry, acute stroke, or cardiac care is strongly preferred).Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire.NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 1 year of hire.Equal Opportunity Employer: ATC Healthcare Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
