Quality Control Inspector I

Monday - Friday: 8am-4:30pm. No weekend work unless a special project or issue that needs to be addressed with QC comes up but that is RARE.

Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Read and interpret drawings, schedules, inspection plans, control charts and validates documentation
• Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, or electrical characteristics.
• Audit operations to ensure employees comply with quality standards.
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
• Advises employees on how to adjust and use precision instruments
• Support LEAN Transformation by actively participating in Kaizen teams and completing post Kaizen activities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Manufacturing setting is preferred
• Able to read and follow work instructions, quality, and safety protocols
• Dependable and independent but also able to work well within a team
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for 8 hours per day
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
