Quality Inspector 2ND SHIFT

Location Huntsville, Alabama Job Summary Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a PCMM Technician to support inspection of large-scale parts at various stages of machining, documenting nonconforming material and maintaining measurement equipment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Job Responsibilities Inspect large-scale parts using Romer arms, laser trackers, scanners (handheld or blue light), or manual layout. Document non-conforming material as required and provide concise feedback to machinists and engineers based on data collection. Maintain all measurement equipment. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED with 2-4 or more years of relevant experience. Fluency with standard measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, inter‑micrometers, optical comparators, etc.). 4 or more years of experience using Romer Arm, AS1 Scanner, Leica AT960 Laser Tracker, Leica AT402 Laser Tracker, or CMM. Experience with Spatial Analyzer or similar PCMM software preferred. Proficiency in GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009. Ability to execute or witness test procedures and generate test reports. Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications; ability to prepare handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports. Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, bubble prints, certificates of conformance, and nonconformance reports. US citizen with current or eligible Final Secret Clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance). Willingness to work 2nd shift. Preferred Qualifications Inspection of complex aerospace hardware, nonconforming material, Material Review Board (MRB), and review/creation of Acceptance Data Packs / First Article Inspection. Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems, AS5553 counterfeit prevention, and AS9102 first article inspection. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
