Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (MS RN) for a night shift position at a facility located in Newburgh, Indiana. This is a contractual assignment with an anticipated start date of June 22, 2026. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The nurse will provide patient care on a 32-bed unit, involving trauma-level II patients with conditions such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and neurological issues. The role includes responsibilities across multiple campuses within the organization and involves floating within the skill set to different units as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour nights, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current active compact license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, Associate Degree or Certificate, Indiana state licensure, and at least two years of strong Medical Surgical experience, including trauma level II exposure, recent EPIC electronic medical record experience, and one travel assignment.

• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required within the organizations campuses as needed.
• Additional Information: The position involves working three weekends out of every six-week schedule and every other holiday. It may require precepting students and new hires. The candidate must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills, and experience with PIV insertions and stable drips (heparin, Lasix, Protonix).
• Submission Requirements: All required certifications must be attached upon submittal.
• Notes: GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week; set weekly hours are guaranteed outside of holiday closures. The Covid-19 vaccine is not required currently, but this may change.
