School Photographer - Indianola, IA

Become a School Photographer with JostensPIX – Seasonal Position Starting July 21, 2026. Location Requirement: Must reside in Indianola, IA or surrounding area. Benefits and Compensation Competitive Pay: $19-$21 per hour 401(k) match from Day 1 Seasonal flexibility through November, with potential extension into December Average 30+ hours per week with overtime during peak weeks Paid training, travel time, and mileage reimbursement Daily pay option via DailyPay Promotion potential to Photo Team Lead (+$1 per hour) Additional perks: discounts on insurance, travel, pet care, and more Your Role Capture genuine smiles and school memories Use personal vehicle to travel to local schools for picture day events Transport, set up, and take down photography equipment Use photo software to organize images Work independently during smaller events after training Occasional overnight stays with hotel and per diem paid Qualifications High school diploma or GED (must be 18+) Reliable, insured vehicle and valid U.S. driver’s license (public transport not permitted) Willingness to start early (as early as 4 AM) and occasional extended hours Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of camera equipment Ability to store equipment at home when not in use Cheerful personality and comfortable working with children Strong communication, customer service, and technical skills Comfortable working independently after training Reliable cell phone and internet access Local Requirement May be required to complete additional background/health screenings as determined by state policy.
