Senior Software Engineer, AWS ML Accelerators

Salary: $193,300 - 261,500 per year Requirements:

• We require 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 5 years of programming experience in at least one software language.
• We require 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We require 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• We require experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent background.
• We are looking for expertise in functional modeling for SoCs, ASICs, TPUs, GPUs, or CPUs.
• We are looking for comfort modeling in C++ or SystemC, with familiarity in Python.
• We value candidates who enjoy learning new technologies, building software at scale, moving quickly, and working closely with colleagues in a small team within a large organization.
• We welcome candidates who want to move into an ML-aligned role or deepen their understanding of ML at the hardware and systems level.

• We develop and own SoC functional models end to end, including model architecture, integration with other model or infrastructure components, testing, and debugging.
• We work closely with architecture, RTL design, design verification, emulation, and software teams to build, debug, and deploy our models.
• We improve the tooling we provide to customers so it is easier for them to use our SoC models.
• We drive performance improvements in our models and modeling infrastructure so they can scale effectively.
• We build software that can be maintained, enhanced, documented, tested, and reused.
• We collaborate with internal customers who depend on our models and help push the boundaries of how modeling supports successful products.
