Medical Assistant Position Description

Company: Amergis Healthcare Staffing Duration: 13-week contract | Start: June 8, 2026 | Schedule: 40 hrs/week Openings: 3

Overview

Provides clinical and administrative support to physicians, ensuring efficient patient care and clinic operations within a team-based setting.

Responsibilities

Room patients; take vital signs and perform screenings
Document patient information in EHR
Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection
Assist providers during exams and procedures
Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies
Manage patient flow and schedules
Float between nearby clinics as needed

Schedule

Primary Care & OBAT clinics
MondayFriday shifts (8:00 AM8:00 PM range)
Evening shift preferred (not required)

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Accredited Medical Assistant program (certification preferred)
1+ year experience preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
Strong communication skills
CPR and health requirements (if applicable)
Must be 18+
