Railyard Workers - $25/hour

Position Overview This is a hands-on laborer role supporting a rail yard crew with a variety of physically demanding tasks. Duties include shoveling, sweeping, handling materials, using hand tools, and assisting with general site upkeep. While some operation of heavy equipment may be involved, the primary focus is manual labor. Prior experience in rail or aggregate environments is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided. Key Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Unloading product from railcars at various company facilities. Assist the plant foreperson with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant. Other miscellaneous duties include but not limited to: general labor, shoveling, performing necessary equipment maintenance, assisting foreperson and/ or crew members as needed. May perform welding and fabrication duties as required. Day to day work may include safe operation of heavy equipment including but not limited to; Frontend Loader and skid steer loader. Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly. Ability to follow directions. General understanding of OSHA & MSHA regulations. Other Requirements Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel to multiple locations including: Kent, Copley, Twinsburg, Alliance, Cleveland and Medina Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures. Strict adherence to Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Book of Policies. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.
