POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Procedural & Surgical Services provides 24-hour leadership oversight for:

• Operating Room (OR)
• Pre-Operative Services
• Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab)
• Electrophysiology (EP) Lab

This leader is accountable for clinical quality, patient safety, employee engagement, physician collaboration, financial stewardship, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License or eligibility for licensure
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience in perioperative services
• Experience managing:
  • Operating Room (OR)
  • Cath Lab
  • Pre-Operative Services
  • Surgical Services Operations
• Demonstrated success in:
  • Clinical operations management
  • Quality improvement initiatives
  • Staffing and workforce planning
  • Budgeting and financial management
• Strong leadership, communication, and physician relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• CNOR or other relevant specialty certification
• Experience leading multidisciplinary surgical teams within an acute care hospital environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, mentor, and develop perioperative leadership teams and clinical staff
• Oversee daily operations to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, physicians, and executive leadership
• Optimize staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource utilization
• Manage departmental budgets and financial performance
• Monitor quality metrics and implement process improvements
• Support employee engagement, professional development, and succession planning
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
• Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives for procedural and surgical services
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
