Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a pediatric outpatient setting, located in a fast-paced, freestanding pulmonology and sleep clinic. The role requires the ability to independently perform pulmonary function testing and related procedures, including lung volume tests, pulse oximetry, and 6-minute walk testing, with a patient population consisting of children and geriatrics. The position begins on October 5, 2026, and lasts for approximately 16 weeks, with a schedule of five 8-hour days from Monday to Friday.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license, BLS certification. No prior experience required; first-time travelers accepted if capable of functioning independently in outpatient clinical testing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with pediatric respiratory testing, lung volume assessments, or pulmonary lab procedures is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Floating: Not required.
• Additional Information:
  The Respiratory Therapist will work independently performing pulmonary function tests, pulse oximetry, and six-minute walk tests in a pediatric outpatient clinic. The role demands proficiency in respiratory testing equipment and procedures, with a focus on adult and geriatric patient care as well. Testing volume is approximately 10-12 patient visits per day. Strict adherence to clinical protocols and safety procedures is essential, and certification compliance, including CPI and BLS, must be maintained.
  Candidates must complete onboarding labs within 72 hours of signing the contract, with all compliance documents submitted five days before the start date. No floating or on-call duties are required, and the candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
