Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

Join our Critical Care Float Pool as a Registered Nurse (RN) for night shifts with the flexibility to meet unit needs as they arise. You will be required to float to various Intensive Care Units (ICUs) based on staffing and patient acuity. The ICUs include:

• Neuro ICU
• Surgical ICUs
• Medical ICUs (MICU x2)
• Cardiology/Diagnostics
• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
• Surgical ICU (SICU) / Medical ICU (MICU) / Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU)

Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system is required
• Must possess skills in:
• IV Starts
• Telemetry
• Ventilator management
• Previous travel nursing experience is strongly preferred

Parking Information:

• WMC Permit: 24/7 access to the designated garage
• WB Permit: Access to East/West Garages on weekends and holidays
• CXS Permit: Access to designated garages 24/7

Note: Annual payment for permits is required upfront with prorated refunds available for unused future months on annual permits.

Unit Details:

• Staffing & Scheduling: Availability to float to different units and weekends is required
• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Support Services: Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and more
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Will float to all ICUs

Travel Compliance:

Candidates must complete the required fingerprinting process promptly post-contract signing. Strict compliance deadlines are enforced with a focus on timely credentialing. Applicants who do not respond or cooperate with credentialing processes may face delays or cancellation.

References:

• Two professional references are required, with at least one from a manager or director.
• Current employees are not eligible for travel assignment; candidates must have been away for at least 6 months.

Education:

Candidates must have education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program and possess a valid compact or state license at the time of submission.
