The Assistant Manager partners with leadership to drive daily store performance, supervise and train staff, maintain accurate inventory tracking, and guarantee a safe, welcoming retail environment. Maintaining complete compliance in coordination with state laws, regulations and guidelines. You will step in to lead operations in the absence of the Manager and act as a primary resource for both budtenders and customers.
- Support daily store opening and closing procedures, shift handoffs, and floor management.
- Supervise budtenders, delegating daily tasks and keeping the team motivated.
- Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, and scheduling team members.
- Ensure all sales, cash drops, and inventory movements strictly comply with state and local cannabis laws.
- Monitor visitor check-ins, ID verifications, and facility security protocols.
- Maintain clean, audit-ready records and assist with monthly or periodic reporting.
- Oversee seed-to-sale tracking systems and daily POS reconciliation.
- Manage product receiving, stock rotation, display compliance, and secure vault organization.
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with loss prevention.
- Model superior customer service, resolve customer complaints, and educate patrons on cannabis products, dosing, and consumption methods.
- Drive store sales goals, promotions, and customer retention programs.
