Job Description
Title: RN - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule:
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Ratios: Day/Eve 5:1 (stretch 6-7); Night 6-7:1 (stretch 8-10 if staff call-outs)

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year recent RN experience required
- New York license required in hand to submit
- Required certifications: BLS; NIHSS competency preferred
- Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with cardiac and stroke diagnoses.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, managing dysrhythmias.
- Participate in rapid response and code team situations.
- Administer oxygen therapy and manage peripheral lines.
- Follow isolation precautions and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion as needed.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 4 hours
- Candidates within a specific distance of the facility are not accepted.
- No holiday RTO; please limit RTO to no more than 7 days.
