Occupational Health Physician (MD/DO)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Physician (MD/DO) to join a dynamic clinical team in Santa Maria, CA. This role is 100% center-based, focused on delivering high-quality patient care while leading clinical operations, improving workflows, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care while serving as the Primary Treating Physician (PTP) for workplace injuries
• Collaborate with therapists, specialists, and clinical teams to drive optimal outcomes and timely case resolution
• Lead and supervise clinicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with supervisory requirements for NP/PA providers
• Enhance clinical workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce patient visit times
• Maintain high standards of documentation, coding accuracy, and charge capture
• Ensure compliance with state practice regulations and Workers Compensation guidelines
• Communicate with employers regarding new injuries and significant clinical updates
• Participate in team meetings to improve quality, patient safety, and operational performance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, employers, and payers
• Support staffing, performance management, and professional development of clinical team members
• Contribute to center initiatives, business growth, and financial performance

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical program
• Active, unrestricted California medical license (or in progress)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABPM, ABFM, AOA, or equivalent)
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS & AED certification (ACLS preferred)
• NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
