NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is a Level I trauma center located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The hospital is a central part of NYU Langone Health’s comprehensive network of ambulatory and outpatient practices, supporting healthcare access, growth, and delivery across the borough. Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator (Inventory Control and Quality Assurance) is a newly created salaried role designed to improve inventory accuracy and supply quality across the main campus hospital. The coordinator will perform daily physical checks, manage stock rotation, and provide data-driven insights to support senior leadership. Job Responsibilities Perform daily cycle counts to ensure on‑hand quantities match expected totals. Enforce FIFO compliance and remove expired products through physical stock rotation. Recount and reconcile variances identified during audits to support variance resolution. Process returned items and dispose of scrap materials according to safety protocols. Locate and remove recalled items from shelves immediately upon notification. Assist in par level reviews by verifying physical space capacity for adjustments. Generate high‑level reports for senior leadership on inventory health, expirations, recalls, financial accuracy, and data outliers using Microsoft Suite. Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, translate findings into actionable insights, and support data‑driven decision making. Meet physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, stand, and walk for the majority of the shift. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required. 2‑3 years of inventory or retail experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel VLOOKUP, PivotTables, PowerPoint, Access). Experience with PeopleSoft, QIAM (RFID), or similar ERP/WMS/IMS systems. Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex inventory data. Attention to detail for accurate counting. Experience with handheld scanners and data entry. Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization. Salary The salary range for this role is $66,300 – $90,574.69 annually, depending on experience, education, and hospital need. This figure reflects New York State’s salary‑transparency law and does not include additional bonuses or incentive pay.
