Overview:
Client is seeking two Workday Financial Reporting Consultants to support their finance reporting transformation. This engagement focuses on evaluating legacy financial reports and accounts, determining current business use, and translating those needs into Workday - either by leveraging existing standard reports or building custom reports to meet future-state requirements.
This is a hands-on, requirements-to-delivery role. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, engaging with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, and building solutions in Workday Financials without heavy hand-holding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze existing financial reports and account structures in legacy system(s)
- Document current report usage, purpose, and business owner needs
- Determine whether legacy report needs can be met with existing Workday Financials reports, or require custom report development
- Design, build, and test custom reports in Workday (Report Writer / Calculated Fields / matrix or composite reports as applicable)
- Partner with finance stakeholders to validate report output against business requirements
- Support knowledge transfer/documentation for future-state reporting processes
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Workday Financials (required - not HCM-only experience)
- Demonstrated experience building custom reports in Workday (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, or similar)
- Experience translating legacy system reports/accounts into a new ERP or financial system environment
- Ability to work independently with limited upfront documentation and evolving requirements
- Strong stakeholder communication skills - able to gather requirements directly from finance business users
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Prior consulting experience (implementation partner background: Workday Services, Huron, Sikich, Aptitude, Collaborative Solutions, or similar)
- Healthcare or health system industry experience
- Experience with Workday Prism or EIBs a plus
