Facility Maintenance Technician

We are seeking Facility Maintenece Technicians to join our team in Richmond, CA. Candidates should possess a well-rounded knowledge of facility operations to include experience in any of the following areas: building maintenance (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, welding) material handling equipment, and industrial refrigeration. $22 - $26 depending on experience Join our talented engineering team that supports all maintenance aspects of our Cold Storage Facility. Our facility maintenance technicians: Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety rules and procedures Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems under supervision Perform basic carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, and doors Assist with painting and general facility upkeep Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, sockets, gear pullers screwdrivers, jacks, drill press, screw gun, electric drill, etc. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on the building systems Maintain a clean and organized work environment Report any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly

WORK ENVIORNMENT

Able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairwells Able to lift/move heavy objects using carts and hand trucks Able to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods Work varied hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational needs Able to work in various environments, including temperature-controlled facilities and outdoor settings Job Requirements Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, as well as being able to multi-task Able to properly operate a wide variety of power tools, motorized pallet-jacks and warehouse equipment Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred Successful applicants must pass a post offer, pre employment drug screening Benefits package includes vacation, sick leave, holidays, medical, dental, vision, life/disability and 401k (optional).
