Controls Engineer page is loaded## Controls Engineerlocations: Cernusco sul Naviglio, Italytime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR-0091831The Controls Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning and support of controls systems for material handling and automation projects, working both on-site and remotely.# **We offer:*** Career Development* Competitive Compensation and Benefits* Pay Transparency* Global OpportunitiesLearn More Here:# **Tasks and Qualifications:**## **Key Responsibilities*** Design and deliver the **controls aspects of material handling systems** for Dematic Enhancement, Modernisation and Upgrade projects, in line with specifications, timelines and budgets.* Develop, implement and support **hardware and software solutions**, including controls design, PLC software and commissioning activities.* Provide **end-to-end controls solutions**, covering electrical design, software design and on-site commissioning.* Work effectively on **live customer sites**, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while respecting project scope and safety standards.* Support fault finding, system investigations and **controls troubleshooting** when required.* Perform **site supervisory duties** on controls projects when necessary.* Support the **Sales team** with controls-related cost estimates, design concepts and spare parts recommendations.* Maintain Dematic’s image as a **high-quality, professional organisation**, adopting an honest, proactive and customer-focused approach.## **Requirements & Qualifications*** Education to a minimum of **HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering** or a related discipline.* Hands-on experience in a similar role within an **automation-based industry**, ideally in automated warehouse or intralogistics environments.* Advanced knowledge of **PLCs** (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley).* Strong understanding of **fieldbus systems and I/O equipment** (e.g. Profibus, Profinet, ASi, TCP/IP).* Advanced understanding of controls-related equipment such as **barcode scanners, HMIs and variable frequency drives**.* Working knowledge of **industry standards**, including the **Machinery Directive** and compliance requirements.* Experience with **CAD tools** (AutoCAD, EPLAN) – *AutoCAD considered a nice to have*.* Confident user of **Microsoft Office tools** (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).## **Travel & Availability*** **Up to 75% travel within Italy** is required, depending on project needs.* **On-call availability** may be required when necessary, with a maximum of **one week per month**.**KION brands keep the world moving – globally, regionally, and locally.**KION is the Supply Chain Solutions Company.
