Job Title: Free Standing ER RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years in Emergency Department License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: - General emergency experience (adult/pediatrics) - Epic experience - First-time travelers must have 2+ years of ED experience Description: Position available for a Free Standing ER RN. The shift consists of three 12-hour nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend is required. Floating to other facilities may be necessary based on needs. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the emergency department are preferred. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC. Preferred certifications are CPI and NRP. Medical and religious exemptions are considered for the flu vaccine. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. Travelers should note that the facility can call off one shift every two weeks. Patients may include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with a daily census dependent on the facility's needs. The unit is a 14-bed facility, featuring dedicated lab services and on-site security. Special procedures may include comprehensive emergency treatment protocols for various patient diagnoses. Candidates should be adept in managing multiple types of emergencies and possess skills in a wide range of medical conditions.
