Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry.About the Role:The Material Handler is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the district, service center, yard, or work site.Additional Information:Relocation or sponsorship assistance is NOT available for this position.Starting Pay: $19.85, can increase based on experienceSchedule: Monday – Friday 2:30 PM CST - 11:00 PM CSTOvertime based on business needWhat You Will Do:Unload, stock and inventory all deliveriesAssist with new orders, cycle counts and RFID operationsRead and understand SOPs and Risk AssessmentsAbility to understand Inventory Control ProcessExhibits equipment and product understandingAbility to read work orders and follow verbal instructionCounts, weighs, secures, tags, palettize and stacks materials and maintains accurate records of material movementMaintains work area, machines, and equipmentOperates and inspects industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and productsAssists in developing a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accident-free workplacePerforms other job duties as assignedWhat You Will Have:Minimum of one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be able to become forklift certified within 30 daysMust be able to effectively operate hand-held scanner (inventory transaction device) within 30 daysAbility to use identification tools (engraver, metal stamps, paint pen) to mark productAbility to read and interpret dimensional drawingsAdditional Requirements:Currently working on main campus as a material handler at SPM Oil & GasPhysical Demands:Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hearRequired to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusMust be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the departmentWork Environment:Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particlesFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditionsOccasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibrationNoise Level: ModerateSummary Pay Range:$19.85 - $26.55Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
