MRI Technologist (PRN)

Position Overview This role involves providing safe, age-appropriate diagnostic imaging services, primarily MRI, requiring independent judgment, technical proficiency, and excellent patient care skills. Responsibilities: Obtain clinical histories, prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, ensure image quality, verify patient identity, and follow safety protocols. Respond to emergencies, assist with procedures, and maintain equipment and environment. Patient Care: Ensure patient privacy, comfort, and dignity; communicate clearly; address questions and concerns; assist with pre- and post-procedure care; and ensure proper documentation. Technical Skills: Adjust imaging techniques for optimal results, troubleshoot equipment issues, operate monitoring systems, and maintain infection control standards. Operations: Restock supplies, transport and position patients, perform clerical tasks, and support team collaboration. Take call and perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications: Certifying in MRI technology (ARMRIT or ARRT-MR), BLS certification, minimum 1 year clinical experience, and strong communication, technical, and customer service skills.
