Initiate emergency measures as needed and assist with maintenance of crash cart. Assess and evaluate patient needs to provide supportive care before, during and after procedures. Assist physicians with procedures, including handling and maintaining accurate records of medications and specimens. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment, including cleaning, disinfection, and daily maintenance of equipment. Initiate IVs for patient sedation prior to procedures. Administer medications in accordance with physician orders. Participate in patient education pre‑ and post‑procedure. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses. Assist physicians with management of office visits and patient education. Communicate with patients as applicable, maintaining patient‑centered data in a neat and organized manner. Comply with adverse event reporting and patient privacy policies. Perform IV insertion, medication administration, infusion monitoring, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, phlebotomy, and discharge as policies indicate. What you bring Registered Nurse licensure. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification required. Solid nursing background with experience or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty. Priority setting, judgment, communication skills, and tact.
