The Packager plays a key role in warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This position focuses on moving and storing inventory in designated locations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring that all products are packaged, labeled, and shipped according to customer requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Move and store inventory in designated warehouse locations in an organized and efficient manner.
• Pick materials and products to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
• Pack products for shipment, ensuring items are properly protected and secured.
• Wrap, band, and label pallets and cartons according to established procedures.
• Prepare shipments in line with specific customer requirements and documentation standards.
• Use RF scanners, barcode scanners, or warehouse management systems to complete inventory and order transactions.
• Perform inventory transactions and help maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and a safe working environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and standard work instructions consistently.
• Support general warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities as needed, including general labor tasks.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks when required.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and suggest changes that make operations smoother, quicker, and more efficient.

Essential Skills

• 6–12 months of experience in picking, packing, labeling, and using RF scanners.
• Experience with general production, packaging, and general labor tasks in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to use RF scanners, barcode scanners, and basic warehouse management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular basis.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate systems and print labels.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and standard work instructions accurately.
• Attention to detail to ensure correct picking, packing, and labeling of products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
• Working in shipping, receiving, or inventory control environments.
• Comfort working in a fast-growing operation where processes are evolving.
• Willingness to learn new procedures and contribute ideas for process improvements.
• Ability to adapt to change and remain patient as new workflows and systems are implemented.
• Interest in developing into lead, supervisory, quality, or other advanced roles as the operation grows.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, well-lit, recently upgraded warehouse facility with a modern, brand-new feel. The site is a new division in a newly renovated building that continues to receive enhancements, and is expected to grow to nearly 100 team members within the next 6–9 months. The current team is small, and processes are still being refined, so early hires should expect some initial unstructured workflows and be comfortable helping shape and improve them. You will work on a 2nd shift schedule, from the evening into the late night (approximately 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM), using RF scanners, barcode scanners, pallet jacks, and computer systems in a warehouse environment focused on safety, organization, and continuous improvement. Dress code is typical for a warehouse setting, prioritizing practicality and safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.84/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Hudson,WI.
