Dishwasher At Main Event, the Dishwasher position is vital to the overall cleanliness of the building and the safety of our guests and staff. The Dishwasher staff is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing all dishes, flatware, utensils and kitchenware. Responsibilities Keep the immediate supervisor promptly informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action or suggest alternative courses of action. Use all chemicals properly in the correct quantities for safety and cost control. Safely and correctly operate all equipment. Clean and sanitize all dishware, flatware and glassware. Carefully sort all dishware and flatware to ensure none are lost or disposed of. Clean and sanitize kitchen pots, pans and utensils. Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures. Carefully handle all glassware and dishware to eliminate breakage. Empty all trash in the kitchen and clean and maintain trash cans. Assist other kitchen staff members with pressure‑point relief during the shift as needed. Assist with line maintenance, sweeping and clearing dirty dishes. Assist with some prep and banquet items as directed by management. Clean and maintain kitchen and dish areas, floors, walls and drains. Assist in the maintenance of kitchen storage areas, cleanliness and stocking. Clean and maintain all mats. Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate. Qualifications Friendly and able to smile a lot while working days, nights and/or weekends as required. Previous maintenance experience at a hotel or restaurant preferred, but not required. Demonstrate ability to clearly communicate with guests and other team members. Disciplined and self‑motivated. Dress in accordance with dress guidelines, looking neat, clean and professional at all times. Must be at least 18 years of age.
