Anew Fitness collaborates with organizations, including AARP, Clover, NORDC, New Orleans Council on Aging, and other senior care facilities, providing regular fitness classes on-site.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• High school diploma
• Possesses outstanding communication abilities
• Has access to personal transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of senior fitness and experience working with older adults is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in group fitness (Preferred)
• Familiarity with chronic diseases, special needs, and issues related to older adults (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• The Dance Instructor is responsible for designing and instructing safe, high-quality, effective, challenging, and fun group exercise classes.
• Design and teach effective, safe and enjoyable exercise classes using proper exercise progressions and cueing techniques, according to guidelines.
• Select appropriate music and tempo suitable for the class format and population served.
• Design classes that adhere to the designated format and are appropriate for the participants' abilities.
• Teach classes with energy and enthusiasm.
• Frequently and consistently demonstrate multiple movement modifications and encourage members to modify movements and work at their own pace.
• Monitor participants' intensity, technique, proper form, and hydration throughout the class.
• Consistently utilize clear and easy-to-follow verbal and physical cues before a movement change.
• Plan specific composition/choreography for each class, consistently changing music and routines.
• Begin and end class on time.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week

Work Location: On the road
