Location: San Diego, CA 91942 (Must be able to float to nearby San Diego area facilities)
Job Type: 26-Week Contract (Extension Possible)
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM 3:30 PM)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in the San Diego area. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and compliance with state and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images following established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Float to other San Diego area facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Mammography (Mammo) License
- ARRT (M) Certification
- Completion of a formal Mammography education program (proof required)
- Minimum 200 mammography studies completed within the last 2 years
- Minimum 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in Breast Imaging within the last 3 years
- Experience performing Screening and Diagnostic Mammography
