CT Tech – Acute Care (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Performs CT exams and procedures for NICU, CCU, ED, and other hospital departments as requested by medical staff
• Operates CT scanner to obtain high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals; modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure
• Assists radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
• Completes thorough documentation of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
• Participates in quality indicator implementation, monitoring, and improvement; performs routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner per manufacturer and organizational guidelines
• Works independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting and provides training and support to peers

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required: R.T.(R) and advanced registry in CT, R.T.(CT)
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Minimum of two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
• Must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• One (1) or more years of CT experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced inpatient environment
• Experience with on-call rotation and varied shift scheduling
