Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Network Engineering

Salary: $106,953.6 - 133,692 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related field; a masters degree is a plus.
• At least six years of IT infrastructure engineering experience, including knowledge of how server, storage, network, information security, and application components interact.
• Experience designing and operating server infrastructure, planning capacity, and detecting and resolving errors.
• Expert-level experience designing and implementing VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Horizon View, plus strong knowledge of PowerShell, PowerCLI, and PowerShell DSC.
• Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery using VMware SRM.
• Expertise in at least one of VMware vSphere, ESXi, Horizon View, NSX, or Citrix XenApp/Workspace, with working knowledge of related technologies.
• Expertise administering, engineering, and hardening Windows operating systems, including Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 and Windows 10; Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft SQL Server high-availability clustering.
• Knowledge of HP-SIM, SCOM, SCCM, packaging methods, WMI, Microsoft clustering, Windows failover clustering, and SQL AlwaysOn clustering.
• Microsoft MCSE certification.
• Preferred: a masters degree; experience in a large, highly available, multi-site environment, ideally in healthcare; Cisco UCS or HP ProLiant server hardware and HP OneView; monitoring, log, capacity, and event management; server and client OS security hardening; and expertise in Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint Server, Skype for Business, SCCM, SQL Server, Microsoft Clustering, or storage design and management.
• Preferred: VMware Site Recovery Manager, PowerCLI or scripting, vRealize/vCloud Operations Manager or Automation, ITIL/ITSM, strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills, and one or more additional certifications such as VMware VCP, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, Microsoft MCP or MCSA, Cisco CCNA, or Palo Alto PCCSA.
• Strong communication and listening skills, a professional and approachable manner, and the ability to understand others perspectives, challenges, and goals.

• Design, install, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and set standards for server hardware, SAN storage, virtual infrastructure, and virtual desktop infrastructure; serve as a subject matter expert for these platforms.
• Own evaluations and ongoing development of server, DFS, Active Directory, storage, DHCP, and DNS infrastructure, and consult with business units on new initiatives.
• Design and implement solutions aligned with business needs and IT strategy, addressing gaps in virtualization, server and desktop operating systems, purpose-built appliances and applications, and end-user computing.
• Assess application performance, identify bottlenecks, recommend solutions, and coordinate with developers and third-party vendors to resolve issues.
• Lead technical roadmaps, designs, and testing plans for new and changing infrastructure and end-user computing technologies before production deployment.
• Provide technical support for third-party software implementations and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve enterprise hardware and software failures promptly, following organizational standards and procedures.
• Assess applicable requirements and develop appropriate technical specifications and solutions.
• Collaborate with departments, teams, and engineers to gather requirements, design, build, and troubleshoot virtual and physical systems.
• Maintain standards, system documentation, technical procedures, user guides, and runbooks, and complete operational handoffs.
• Provide final-level support for escalated technical issues, lead sustaining engineering work such as upgrades, maintenance, enhancements, and expansions, and mentor junior IS associates.
• Foster teamwork and inclusion, support positive experiences for patients and families, and communicate respectfully with patients, families, colleagues, and the community.

This benefit-eligible senior infrastructure engineering role is based at 210 South Florida Avenue in Lakeland, Florida, with a Monday–Friday schedule and call rotation and 80 hours per biweekly pay period; it accrues time off. The listed pay range is $106,953.60 to $133,692.00.
