Bites & Brews Host/Hostess

BITES & BREWS is located within 814 Lanes and Games.

You will greet guests at the door with a warm welcome and a smile. You will assist in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant. The Host/Hostess sets the stage for a positive dining experience, engaging in friendly conversation with guests.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following. Other Duties May Be Assigned.

1. Greets guests as they enter, and adds them to the waiting list as necessary.
2. Provides guests with menus and answers any initial questions.
3. Seats guests at tables or in waiting areas.
4. Assigns guests to tables that they prefer, while considering proper table rotation so that servers receive the correct number of customers.
5. Engages with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
6. Efficiently and accurately responds to customer complaints, and assists in resolving them.
7. Answers phone calls, takes reservations, and answers general questions.
8. Ensures that food health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
9. Maintains a clean workstation and dining area, to include removal of trash.
10. Reports kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. To perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Education/Requirements:

1. Must be 16 years of age.
