We are hiring compassionate RNs and LPNs to provide 1:1 pediatric private duty care for a child in Rowlett, TX. Position Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for in-home pediatric private duty care in Rowlett, TX. Schedule: Monday–Sunday 7a–7p. Location: Rowlett, TX. This role includes an incentive bonus opportunity of up to $300 (additional $150 after 120 hours, and $150 after the next 120 hours) for nurses who commit to 30 hours or more per week on this specific case. Responsibilities Provide nursing services in the home within the scope of licensure/certification and Family First Homecare policies, state Nurse Practice Acts, and applicable state and federal regulations. Perform admission, transfer, recertification, resumption of care, and discharge paperwork as assigned. Maintain an updated clinical record for each patient and meet documentation deadlines. Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services and consult with physicians regarding changes to patient care plans; report changes to the nurse supervisor. Mentor and/or coach new employees during patient-specific orientations; educate patients and caregivers on care needs. Supervise LPNs and aides in the home as assigned; participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities as requested. Attend mandatory trainings and in-services; submit required personnel file documentation in a timely manner. Adhere to compliance and ethics expectations; maintain patient and family confidentiality. Assess physical, functional, psychosocial, and cognitive status; assess home safety and infection control; integrate multidisciplinary data into the nursing assessment. Provide ongoing nursing assessment with patient, family, and home environment; determine physiologic or psychosocial risk; apply prior nursing experience in home setting. Assess for advanced directives and assist with obtaining/implementing them if indicated; participate in committees/meetings and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications RN Nursing Degree; unencumbered RN license in the state of employment or multi-state license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact where recognized. 1 year of demonstrated nursing experience. Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance (where required). Clear background screening. Working knowledge of Nurse Practice Acts; CPR certification (in-person instructor-led hands-on skills check). Hepatitis B screening and TB screening as applicable by state requirements. State-specific requirements: Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas (as applicable per state). Key Competencies Ability to read and communicate in English (verbal and written). Working Conditions/Equipment Work is performed in patients’ homes; training may occur in an office setting. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds without an assisted lifting device. Frequent use of office equipment (telephone, computer, printer).
