Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Nursing) Location Utica, NY | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Block scheduling is not guaranteed and may vary Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a multi-specialty unit covering Oncology, Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, GI, Dermatology, and General Medicine Manage common diagnoses including cancer, ESRD, diabetes, GI conditions, abdominal pain, and dermatological conditions in an adult patient population (18 years and older) Operate specialty equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, and specialty beds (e.g., sand beds) Float to other units as required to support staffing needs Administer chemotherapy in accordance with applicable certification and facility protocols Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR Required Qualifications Active New York State RN License (verified and in good standing) Current AHA BLS certification required NIHSS certification required Chemotherapy certification required Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical and/or Oncology nursing Prior travel nursing experience required Experience with Epic EMR Local candidates are welcome to apply Preferred Experience / Skills Experience in Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, or GI nursing Familiarity with specialty equipment such as chest tubes, NG tubes, and specialty pressure-relief beds Completed and current Med/Surg or Oncology skills checklist Why Join Us Opportunity to work across a diverse, high-acuity multi-specialty unit with a broad range of clinical diagnoses and patient care experiences Join a large, well-equipped unit with 56 beds offering consistent clinical exposure and professional development opportunities Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 785718.
